Punjab State Biotech Corporation (PSBC) a Section 8 Company being operated by Punjab Biotechnology Incubator (PBTI) under Department of Science, Technology & Environment, Govt. of Punjab represented Punjab Government in the event 'Global Bio- India 2019' jointly organized by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), GoI and its Public Sector Undertaking, Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) from 21-23 Nov 2019 at New Delhi. Punjab participated as Partner State in this mega event which witnessed the presence of 3000+ delegates and experts from 30+ countries. The state showcased its existing strengths in the area of Biotechnology and future initiatives in pipeline.

Sh RK Verma IAS Principal Secretary Science, Technology & Environment cum Chairman Punjab State Biotech Corporation signed the MoU with MD, BIRAC in the presence of Dr Renu Swarup, Secretary to Govt India, DBT during the mega event. The event was inaugurated by Dr Harsh Vardhan, Hon'ble Minister of Science & Technology cum Minister of Health & Family Welfare. Sh Verma shared the vision & strategic roadmap of the State Govt. for holistic development of Biotech sector during the event and said that handholding of BIRAC shall help Punjab in emerging as Global Biotech destination.
